The Kingdom of Light Series

When I wrote The Jugglers and the Joyful Jurisdiction, I ended up doing not one, not two, but three re-writes. Each change I made had downstream effects in books four through seven. So in a lot of ways, sitting down to write my second draft of book four was like writing a whole new book. I took out many things that no longer served the story, even some things that I really liked. I also added things to the book that I can now see are central to the heart of the story itself.
God knew six years ago when I started the first draft of the forth book exactly what it was going to be when it is finished. He has, in his mercy and grace and glory, allowed me to go through this process that is so rife with struggle and sacrifice and failure. I often reflect on how great His love is for me to allow me to participate with Him in creating something that will, hopefully, point people's hearts toward Him.
If you think of me, pray for me as I do the first edit of the second draft. Once that is finished I will have a manuscript which I can pass on to my second readers. There are still many steps before this book is published, but today marked a milestone that I wanted to share with you all. Let this be an encouragement that no matter what life season you are in, God will provide what you need for what He has called you to.
God Bless and Happy Reading!

Update on Book 4: The Cult of the Calico Caves

We see that it is not the task of Christianity to provide easy answers to every question, but to make us progressively aware of a mystery. God is not so much the object of our knowledge as the cause of our wonder."
