Elijah Shreckhise

Elijah Shreckhise lives in rural Missouri with his parents and younger brother. His father is a professional senior art director, so Elijah has been drawing since a very young age. He has started doing digital art and graphic design over the last few years. In 2021, he started a small business, now called Studio 5.14, that sells hand drawn greeting cards and art prints. In his free time, Elijah enjoys reading, chess, playing instruments and songwriting, and Ultimate Frisbee. Some of his favorite books are the Bible, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, the Wingfeather Saga, and Do Hard Things. He is also an aspiring author and hopes someday to finally finish writing one of the many storylines that is floating around in his head. In the last year he has started running competitively for track and cross country, and enjoys long distance running.

Elijah has done logo and brand work in addition to designing other graphics. He appreciates the cleanness, simplicity, and organization of modern design, but also likes to incorporate older design influences into his work. Enjoying hand lettering, he has lettered several Bible verses as art prints. Elijah has grown to appreciate doing a decent chunk of the design process on paper, and finds more inspiration when not staring at a computer screen. He will always start the concept work with pen (or pencil) and paper.

Elijah offers several design services on this site: cover layout, hand lettering, some cover design/illustration, maps, chapter headers, and other interior graphics.
