Roma Thompson

Roma Thompson lives in Strafford Missouri, in a little country house with her family. She has two goats, seven rabbits, three cats, and a whole bunch of chickens, along with five wild but wonderful siblings whom she adores. Her life around her gives her plenty of inspiration for her artwork. She began drawing at a very young age and was always thrilled with the idea of illustrating and creating art for people. With lots of practice and hard work her art has slowly but steadily escalated to the point where she is ready to offer her skills to you.

When sketching, Roma brings out facial expressions and reactions in her characters with gentle, careful movements of her pencil. Every line in the character is a process. she erases, redraws and rethinks till she's satisfied with her work. Many of her pencil sketches consist of people. She builds impactful scenes with her characters, and adds movement and lighting that is designed to draw you in and captivate you.

Roma loves watercolor, and especially uses it when creating landscapes, animals, and many other objects. She discovered her passion for watercolor painting at a very young age, and has ever since been growing her skill. She always learns new things while painting however, and and will never cease exploring and trying new techniques. Roma often pairs inking with her watercolor, or sometimes does her paintings without. Her pictures usually depict tranquil moments in time, and are often based off of nature and the great outdoors.
